Delete your account

You can permanently delete your Clarity account and all associated data at any time. Choose whichever option is easiest for you below.

Delete in the app (instant)

If you can sign in, this is the fastest way — your account is removed immediately on confirmation.

  1. Open Clarity and sign in.
  2. Go to Settings → your account → Delete account.
  3. Confirm. Your account and study data are permanently deleted.

Can't sign in, or already removed the app? Submit the email address on your account and we'll delete it within 30 days. You can also email support@clarityfaith.com with the subject "Delete my account."

Delete only some of your data

You don't have to delete your whole account to remove data. Inside the app, you can delete individual items at any time while keeping your account:

  • Individual chat conversations
  • Notes, highlights, and bookmarks
  • Lesson plans and reading progress
  • Your faith-profile personalization (display name, faith tradition, preferences)

What gets deleted

Deleting your account permanently removes your sign-in identity and all associated data, including:

  • Your email and profile (display name, faith tradition)
  • Chat history and conversations
  • Notes, highlights, and bookmarks
  • Lesson plans and reading progress
  • Usage and preference data

What we keep

We retain limited billing and subscription audit records where required for financial and legal recordkeeping (up to 7 years). These are not used to identify or contact you and are never sold or shared with advertisers. Subscriptions are billed by Apple, Google, or Stripe — cancel auto-renewal through the store where you purchased to stop future charges. See our Privacy Policy for full retention details.
